Hadrian’s Arch is a boundary between new and old Athens.
In the northwest of the Hadrian’s Arch towards Acropolis, is carved “here is Athens, the ancient city of Theseus”.
While in the side towards temple of Olympian Zeus, is carved “here is Hadrian city，not the city of Theseus”.
Temple of Olympian Zeus
Temple of Olympian Zeus is behind the Hadrian’s Arch which is built for the worship of Zeus.
Here you can buy ticket in a queue. The ticket of Acropolis is 12 euro which is valid within 4 days
The Temple of Olympian Zeus is the biggest one in Greece and the oldest one in Athens.
When I look upon the few columns reserved, I can imagine how brilliant it was.
The statues are carved of the marble from Paros. And I have to mention it, when I take boat from Santorini to Mykonos, because of seasick, I get off the boat immediately without listening to the radio once the boat docked. Until I take a taxi, I found that I get off on a wrong island. And then? I will talk it later……
If you want to go to Acropolis, you should go through the Plaka first. There are many stores, coffee shops, bars and there is pedestrian zone. If you want to find hotels and restaurants just go to Kidathineon, if you want to buy souvenir then go to Adrianou.
Do you want to go to the biggest “antiquities museum” in Greece, experience
through the transparent floor watching the monuments under the foot?
What a pity! The museum doesn’t open on Monday.
I can only enjoy it from a distance
My travel is always too casual
Without schedule and plan，
So I’m destined to miss something.

Theatre of Dionysos is the first place where Greeks prayed to theater.

Wander among the pillars of Parthenon and feel its journey through the years.
It sounds like every stone is telling stories about thousands years.
The temple is always being restored, but don’t think the efficiency of Greeks is low.
When you come to Greece, the first thing you should do is to adjust your time to “Greek time zone”
Don’t judge the Greek attitude about time by concept of time at daily work and life
Learn to slow down.

They will choose the best time of the day
