His mother was the nymph Thetis, and his father, Peleus, was the king of the Myrmidons.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.my-odyssey.com.cn\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/cici_5.jpg\" alt=\"cici_5\" width=\"564\" height=\"752\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-4999\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.my-odyssey.com.cn\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/cici_5.jpg 564w, https:\/\/www.my-odyssey.com.cn\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/cici_5-173x230.jpg 173w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 564px) 100vw, 564px\" \/><br \/>\nWhen Achilles was a baby, it was foretold that he would die young. To prevent his death, his mother Thetis took Achilles to the River Styx, which was supposed to offer powers of invulnerability, and dipped his body into the water. It was named Ach\u00edlleion after the Homeric hero Achilles. The centerpiece of the gardens is a marble statue on a high pedestal, of the mortally wounded Achilles (Greek: \u0391\u03c7\u03b9\u03bb\u03bb\u03b5\u03cd\u03c2 \u0398\u03bd\u03ae\u03c3\u03ba\u03c9\u03bd, Achilles Dying) without hubris and wearing only a simple cloth and an ancient Greek hoplite helmet. His classically depicted face is full of pain. Now she wasn\u2019t a na\u00efve girl but a poor mother who lost her only son. Nowadays the<\/p>\n<p>Empress is gone, but the Achilleion palace is reserved well.
